Sonic Bloom

Sorry this is another nail polish post, but at least it's a post. So, this time, its Sally Hansen's Quick Dry Nail Polish. I have color Sonic bloom, number 11. Its a very pretty orangey-pinkey-coral. I picked this up because it was a cheap polish that went with my graduation dress. And it stays true to it's name. It dries super fast. My thumb was dry by the time I was done with my hand. It was insane! It wears well, i put it on on Tuesday night and I have minimal chipping tonight, Thursday night. The only downside was I used my OPI Quick Dry Top Coat and it pulled some of the color off in places and made it streaky. I don't know if it was because they were different brands or that it was a Quick Dry. Sorry this was a quick post, but I didn't have much to say.
Hugs,
Kate

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear

So, i picked up a new nail polish today to go with my dress for my graduation dance at Target.I just wanted something cheap and fun to try out, so i obviously didn't get OPI. i picked one that was only 2$ called "Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 08 Deep Purple. it is a pretty metallic purple color. It is kinda holographic I guess you could say. For a polish at only 2$ it was a nice find. i can't vouch for the wear on it, as I just put on and am trying not to get it all over my keyboard. I dries much flatter and less metallic than when it is even slightly dry. (i have one dry hand). So, yeah that's it. Sorry it was so short and sorry i haven't been keeping up.
Hearts,
Kate
UPDATE: I hated the color when it was completely dry. And after I thought it was dry it wiped off! I ended up not wearing it. It looked cute wet.

DISNEY!!

I understand that this is a beauty blog, but I am weird and get bored with doing one thing over and over, and so this post will be about Disney. If you are strictly here for beauty then change the page, stop reading, but if you are silly like me and LOVE Disney, then keep on truckin'! Or.... reading.

Where to start? I have been going to Disney since I was like 11 months old! My parents have taken my older sister since she was 18 months and haven't stopped going since. Disney is a huge part of my life and my memories and I LOVE being there. Even After going there at least 9 times, I still don't get bored. My brother and dad complained about going again this time because we were just there in October for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but my sister wanted to take her boyfriend there with us this time, so we're going. Me, my older sister, and my mom love Disney and going there, but my dad and younger brother would rather go somewhere that we haven't been. (FYI I have one older sister and on younger brother, just so you aren't confused.)

I am so excited to be going this time, especially because my sister's BF is coming and this may be her last family vacation. She is a freshman in college currently. We are going to leave the Sunday after my graduation, May 30th, exactly 2 weeks from today. We are going so early in the summer to beat the heat and the crowds. Late June and all July is miserable in Florida. We will be staying at the Old Key West Resort on property. I think we have been there before, but I don't remember it, so this will be kinda new for me. We are leaving at 6:30 in the morning from the airport here in SD, to Minneapolis, where we will meet my sister and her BF and from there we will fly to Orlando! We are gonna stay there until the 5th when we leave. :( Of course we will go to all the parks, which we have yet to plan out, and probably have one fun day to go to a water park or do something at the hotel.

We all have favorites, which is no surprise seeing how different my family is from each other. My favorite park is Animal Kingdom and my favorite ride would have to be Expedition Everest. Which may change because I have finally decided to go on Rock 'n Rollercoaster at MGM (now Disney studios or something, but I refuse to call it that. MGM is much more catchy name.) I have been too scared to go on it previous years but now that i am older, I am gonna pull on my big girl pants and do it. I actually used to never go on roller coasters, I was such a wimp. But hey, watch Final Destination 3 and you'll never wanna get on a roller coaster EVER. My sister likes MGM, as she is a theatre gal. My brother likes EPCOT, because he's a history and world buff. My mom likes Magic Kingdom because of the shows and parades and rides that she can actually ride without throwing up. My dad likes all of them, he's always the people pleaser. He'll go along with anything we wanna do.

So, in short I am super excited! My parents are letting me get something there for my Graduation present, which is gonna be awesome. The only problem may be choosing something! Maybe I'll get something small from each of the parks, or get one big thing, IDK. And I want to get my friend something. (We always do this when we go on vacations; we get something fro each other.) Oh, and I have this guy friend and we talk a lot, but don't really hang out in person. He told me he loves Disney and I was wondering if I should get him something there. Would that be weird or too much? FYI: I used to like him and he knows I did.

Well anyway, have a fantastic summer everyone!

xoxo,
Kate

In & Out

I haven't posted in forever, and for lack of a better idea, I decided to do an In & Out post. If you aren't familiar with In & Out, they are just posts that tell you what you no longer do or are tired of and what you have just begun to do and love. So, let's cut to the chase and get to it.

INS
Washing my face~ I know this is probably something everyone does, especially people into makeup and beauty. But I never was a person to wash my face everyday. I only had a gross bar to clean my face with before I got the Loreal Go 360 Clean which I have posted about before, and I hated using it. I would wash my face in the shower and exfoliate, but on the days I didn't take a shower, I would just leave it. Usually if i was wearing makeup, which I rarely do, I would wash my face before bed. Now I wash my face every night and I have noticed improvement. Sorry that was a lot of rambling.

Wearing makeup~ Yes, I completely understand that this is a beauty blog, but I'm not gonna lie. I am the kind of person if you don't like me when I'm at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best. This is kinda the way I can tell who really is my friend and who just likes it when I am made up and am having a good day. I have gotten out of the routine of doing makeup for almost 2 months now. I would do my makeup on special occasions, but not everyday. Also, I never have worn any foundation ever. I don't really want to have to worry about it melting or not matching the rest of my body, which is part of the reason I don't wear makeup to school anymore. I am getting back into wearing it, but I'm not sure if it's for me at this stage in my life.

Painting my nails~ As I have posted before, I have got back into painting my nails. I love having them done now, and I am looking for more colors to add to my collection. Right now I am strictly OPI.

Blogging~ I know that I have just begun but I have some great posts coming up. I have, Disney, most worn things, beauty habits and more! Please add me or friend me on here anf comment!!!

OUTS
School~ School is over in like 41 days and i am sick and tired of it. Getting up, homework, classes, notes, tests will all be over soon. I wish this one would go out very very fast.

Winter/Cold~ It is already spring and yet right now it is a toasty warm 60 degrees with overcast. And the forecast for this week is from 60 to 57 to 53 to 52. Ugh, I want bright, sunny, 75 with a cool breeze. I want school to be over and I want to be at Disney NOW! (FYI I am going to Disney World for the bajillionth time with my fam right after graduation. I will have a fun Disney post up soon, but you def don't have to read it, it is only for my entertainment.)

That thing~ Girls, you must understand what I am talking about. That thing that comes up every 30 days or so and ruins your plans and or life. Well, for me its that way. I hate it so much and I am going to have to deal with it all week at school, no breaks. And we have PE still. UGH! I would rather not ever have it and just adopt, but I am being kinda dramatic.

Sorry this was all just rambles, but right now I am avoiding, showering, getting dressed and doing my algebra homework. Have a great rest of your weekend!!

OPI Hong Kong

Happy Monday Everyone!!!
Well, it's happy for me because I'm on break until Thursday. I wanted to share with y'all my new find. It's new to me at least.
It's OPI's Hong Kong Collection. I don't know how long it's been out but I have just begun to try them out. I was at Trade Secret yesterday and I saw this little 4-pack of "OPI Hong Kong Tiny Takeouts". It comes with Red My Fortune Cookie-which is described as a rich red but is actually reddish orange when dry- Dim Sum Plum-a berry pinkish purple that is very pretty- Suzi Says Feng Shui- an almost dull blue color, but it is much more pretty than what I can describe- and RapidDry Top Coat- which is just a clear shiny strong top coat. NOw I don't have much experience with OPI - I just started getting into nail polish- but I didn't put on the top coat and my nails haven't chipped yet. I am wearing Dim Sum Plum right now if you're wondering. (I also have all three colors on my toes right now just so I could see the colors. LOL- I look like a clown)
Although I am new to the nail polish world I do have a few (two) tips to share with y'all.
First, nail polish dries faster the newer it is. Don't ask me why, it just does.
Second, if you accidentally paint on your skin around your nails, it is easy to peel off either after a shower, putting on lotion, or soaking your hands in hot water. But, beware-nail polish comes off of your nails easily when you are in hot water.
I have no idea if these tips are just common knowledge, or if this is new to y'all.
Happy Belated Easter, Spring, and April 5th to you all. I'm gonna go watch the simpsons on Hulu now. :)
-Kate
PS. sorry there is two pics and that they are so small. Google it if you are curious.

Loreal Go 360 Clean

WOW! What can I say, I have been blown away. I just tried Loreal's new Go 360 Clean and it was amazing. It left my skin feeling clean and smooth and overall, removed my minimal makeup. As I am typing this, I keep going back and feeling my skin. The little 'scrublet' it comes with is very soft and gentle, and very different than I expected. The cleanser lathered and washed my face very well, considering the price it comes at. I'm not exactly sure if this is true for everyone, or all skin types as my mom tried this before me and said she wasn't impressed. Maybe its because she's older or has different skin type, I don't know. It isn't too much to sacrifice if you just want to try it out, but I highly recommend you do. I enjoyed using this over my old boring bar of soap. I'm not so sure my pores 'shrunk before my eyes' or anything, but it did a nice job or exfoliating and cleansing my face. i don't have such huge pores to begin with, but I don't notice them anymore. Although, it is 10 o'clock here so the light doesn't exactly give we the best comparison.
Tell me your thoughts on this product, please. I love it.
